Why Amorgos?
Amorgos is often called the hidden gem of the Cyclades. With more churches than inhabitants (365!), cliffside monasteries, secret coves, and traditional villages, it’s no surprise that Luc Besson filmed The Big Blue here. Ai watched this film countless times growing up, and this magical island has long lived in her heart. Now she invites you to experience its beauty firsthand.
Our retreat center, Aegialis Hotel & Spa, is a 5-star, family-owned eco-resort renowned for its hospitality, wellness amenities, and panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. This serene, luxurious sanctuary features saltwater pools, organic gardens, a world-class spa, and some of the most beautiful yoga shalas in Greece.
A day in the Life on Retreat
Each morning begins with an invigorating yoga practice in a sun-drenched studio overlooking the ocean. Afterward, enjoy a hearty Greek breakfast made from local organic ingredients. Then the day is yours:
Relax by the saltwater pool
Wander down to pristine beaches
Hike through ancient paths to hilltop villages
Explore local monasteries and hidden caves
Book a massage or hammam session at the spa
In the early evenings, we’ll gather again for restorative yoga, pranayama, and meditation, followed by a delicious, family-style Greek dinner under the stars. Nights may include stargazing, local music, or intimate connection and conversation with fellow retreaters.

Traveling tips
Travel to Osa Peninsula
The easiest is to fly into San Jose, then take a short flight (55min) to Puerto Jimenez Airport.
You can book the flights through www.flysansa.com or www.skywaycr.com.
We will arrange a pick up from the Puerto Jimenez airport for you (included in the retreat cost).
Flight times
If you are arriving into the country around 1 PM (Costa Rica time) or earlier - you can likely catch a flight down to Osa Peninsula on the same afternoon. Likewise, when leaving, if your international flight from San Jose leaves after 10 AM, you can leave the hotel in the same morning. There are no night flights into Puerto Jimenez so some people may decide to stay overnight in San Jose if the flight arrives in the afternoon.
